Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance? How does reimbursement work?
I am an out-of-network provider. Many clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits, and I’m happy to help make that process as smooth as possible. I provide detailed superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I encourage you to check directly with your insurer about out-of-network mental health benefits and reimbursement rates.
What should I expect during my first session?
The first session is an initial evaluation and a chance for us to begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, review relevant history and current concerns, and identify patterns that may be contributing to your difficulties. I’ll also share my initial thoughts about how treatment could look moving forward, including possible approaches and goals, and make space for your questions!
Do you offer telehealth or virtual therapy sessions?
Yes. I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients located in over 40 states, including New York and New Jersey. Virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person treatment and offers added flexibility and convenience for many clients.
